SOME LITERACY AND NUMERACY INITIATIVES CURRENTLY RUNNING IN ST.MARY’S BNS

ZOOM AHEAD WITH BOOKS

Each year, 1st class take part in the   “Zoom Ahead With Books”, an initiative in which the children are encouraged to take home a story book from the class library to read with parents. Pupils and parents are encouraged to draw and discuss their favourite scene in the book and spend some quality time together! We hope that all parents will get involved in this Literacy initiative which is an enjoyable and fulfilling experience for families. The project will end with a great celebration for  parents and children as they share their experiences!
